Saturday Wedding Host

We’re looking for a warm, confident and organised person to join our team as a Saturday Wedding Host, helping to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for couples on one of the most important days of their lives.

Location: Merrymeade House, Brentwood, Essex
Contract: 1-year fixed term, part-time
Hours: 3 hours per week (typically Saturdays)
Salary: £2,028 per annum + £13/hour overtime (pre-approved)

As Wedding Host, you’ll:

• Greet and assist registrars, couples and guests
• Ensure the ceremony space is set up to a high standard
• Keep things running smoothly and on schedule
• Handle minor issues calmly and professionally
• Open and close the venue, with some light cleaning and manual handling
• Carry out light admin related to upcoming ceremonies

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Friendly and professional in appearance and manner
• Calm under pressure and sensitive to others’ needs
• Reliable, punctual, and great at managing time
• Confident working independently and with a small team
• Comfortable with manual handling and basic IT/admin tasks

Desirable experience:
Previous experience in weddings, hospitality, or customer-facing roles is welcome but not essential.
